SDAP introduces Porsche Cayenne Platinum Edition

Sime Darby Auto Performance (SDAP) – the official Porsche distributor in Malaysia – has introduced the new Cayenne Platinum Edition for a limited time. This new addition to the lineup is not just an upmarket Cayenne, but features bespoke and distinctive bits inside out.

The Cayenne Platinum Edition gets standard equipment which include Bi-Xenon headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS) and 20-inch RS Spyder Design wheels housed in wider wheel arches. There’s non-metallic black and white finish as standard, along with the optional Deep Black, Purpurite, Mahogany, Carrera White and Rhodium Silver metallic paints. The same colours can also be optioned for the wheel arches.

The Cayenne’s interior is dominated by leather sport seats with 8-way electric adjustment, with Alcantara centre panels, Power Steering Plus as well as the Porsche crest embossed on the headrests. Adorning the dashboard is a beautifully-designed analogue clock. In addition, it is equipped with Park Assist in the front and back, which not only uses audible beeps to indicate the distance to objects in the vehicle’s surroundings, but also depicts them graphically on the centre display.

Welcoming the occupants are stainless steel door sills with ‘Platinum Edition’ lettering. Further underlining the exclusivity of the edition is the latest-generation Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system comprised of online navigation and the Connect Plus module.

According to Arnt Bayer, Chief Executive Officer of Sime Darby Auto Performance, the introduction of the Platinum Edition is a celebration of the success of the Cayenne model line. “Many premium quality features are now included as standard for a superior sporty look. It is a fitting tribute to this sports car among the SUVs,” he said.

The Porsche Cayenne Platinum Edition is powered by a 3.6-litre V6 engine that produces 300 hp with a fuel economy figure of 9.2 L/100 km, depending on which tyre it rides on. The Cayenne’s base price is RM698,000 and covers a four-year warranty and free maintenance package.
