Proton X70 leads C-segment SUV in January

KUALA LUMPUR: The Proton X70 has set a new record in January 2019. With the total number of units delivered in January being 2,777, the company has claimed that it is the highest registration any C-segment SUV has received in a single month. Also, with a total registration of over 1,300 last month, this SUV has set a record for most registration in the launch month itself.

The Proton X70 is a fully-imported SUV with its demand rising rapidly. In January 2019, the company has sold a total of 7,007 units combining all its contemporary models, which takes the total market share to around 14.5%.

Dr. Li Chunrong, the CEO of Proton has said that the company will start the new year with new hope. It was already known that the company will finish the month on a great note with most 3S/4S outlets in the industry. However, the numbers on the sales chart is a mutual accomplishment and would not have been possible without the humble support from the people. With the immensely positive feedback and support from the car buyers in Malaysia, it has recorded the market leading sales growth rate and set a new record of the highest number of SUV registrations.

He also added that the manufacturer has miles to go to recover itself fully. It is trying to improve the model offerings and service outlets. All of this will help the company to provide a premium experience to the customers.

Proton Malaysia has is also offering savings of up to RM 4,000, depending on the model, in order to celebrate the Chinese New Year festive period.
