The Proton X50 was one of the most awaited models of 2020, before its arrival the SUV made a lot of hype and traction around it, thanks to the smart marketing by the automaker. Even today, the X50 remains one of the leading models in the segment, generating a lot of sales for the automaker.

So, that’s the same for all the X50 models. However, when compared to the X70, the X50 is obviously smaller. Figuratively speaking, it is 139 mm shorter, 85 mm lower, and 31 mm narrower. Its wheelbase is 70 mm shorter than the big boy.

Proton X50 SUV

Compared to another B-segment SUV, the Honda HR-V. The X50 is 4 mm taller, 4 mm shorter, and 10 mm wider. Its wheelbase is 10 mm shorter than the HR-V.

Overall, these car’s have more-or-less the same dimensions on paper, however, when you look at them in metal.

Proton X50 cabin

With four variants on offer, three (Standard, Premium, Executive) are powered by a '1.5T' engine in a port-injected version. While the flagship model is powered by a 1.5-litre 3-cylinder turbo petrol mill developed by Volvo and Geely. And then there is the obvious power and torque difference.
