Proton X50: Body colours that might look good
Proton is gearing up to roll out another marvel from its stable, the X50. It will join the populated sub-four meter SUV space which already offers models like Ford EcoSport, Honda HR-V, and Toyota CH-R. Another potential player, D55L from Malaysian car giant, Perodua is in pipeline, and will jump on the bandwagon by the end of this year. While looks, features and mechanicals are essential, exterior paint options are usually not given much prominence, it plays a vital role when it comes to buying a car. Given that SUVs are rugged, colours that reinforce aggression suit the best. While there is still some time before Proton reveals the colour options, here are a few body colours we think might look good on the X50.
Armour silver
A classic silver shade never fails to impress. It is suave, yet classy. Sometimes the simplest things leave a strong impact and the same goes with silver which looks mundane, but ups the visual appeal. It is available with X70 and would be a delightful option for the X50.
Cocao grey
It is yet another shade that never fails to turn heads. Though slightly dark, it renders masculine look to the vehicle and a commanding road presence too. This shade is available with the Proton Exora and would look good on the X50 subcompact SUV as well. We hope to see it on the SUV when it launches later this year.
Indiana Grey
This is another variation of grey that we see in some Proton cars, and hopefully it will be available with the X50. It is currently offered with X70 SUV, and we think it will also be a great option for the sub-four meter model.
Flame Red
Flame red is a constant with every Proton model, and X50 is unlikely to miss it. The fiery shade looks bright and bold, giving a commanding road presence to the vehicle. It catches people’s attention and makes head turn. While Proton is yet tight-lipped on the Proton X50 specs and colour options, we think this shade is going to make to the list of colour options.
Cinnamon Brown
Most models are known by a specific shade that define its personality, and we think cinnamon brown could be that colour for the X50. It looks contemporary and posh, which further enhance the overall look. Currently, Proton offers it in X70 and other models, though we hope it will make to the list of colour options on the X50 as well.
Ocean Blue
Just like brown, blue has its own charm that can make a vehicle look stylish and classy effortlessly. Blue has the quality of rendering corporate look naturally, and is preferred by most professionals. This would be another welcoming addition to Proton X50’s list of shades.
While the above colours are already available with the Proton cars, we hope to see newer shades such as classic white, black and orange in the new Proton X50.
