Proton unveils new logo and tagline

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian automotive company, Proton has introduced its reconstructed corporate identity. It is a part of Proton’s development plan to achieve the title of a global and modern automotive brand. The automaker has revealed its new logo and tagline. If we compare the new Proton logo with the previous one, then the difference that can be pointed out is the outer shield with a circular symbol bordering a reconstructed tiger head looks much more striking than before. Moreover, Proton claims that this tiger head is now uncaged that aids in offering a sense of depth.

To match the new logo, the carmaker has also come up with a new tagline, “Inspiring Connections”. Proton claims the new tagline summarizes that it’s the aspiration of employing technology and mobility that help to build human connections that influenced a successful life.

CEO of Proton Holdings, Li Chunrong said, “For us, branding goes beyond our logo, tagline or colours. It’s about what our company stands for and is known for; it is our company’s commitment to our consumers. This is why we did not rush to launch our new branding when we began our journey in 2017, but instead, we focused our energy on solving customer issues, making a better product, upgrading our dealer network and restoring customers trust. That is our commitment and our brand.”

As per the carmaker, the new Proton tagline consists of three primary value, which is innovative technology, reliability, and international. The explanation for the first one is not required as the entire world knows that Proton is committed to designing new products with innovative technology. The second one covers the after-sales service and the life of its products. The brand is famous for offering high-quality services to its consumers. Last but not least, international signifies that Proton aims to lie among the top three automotive manufacturers in the ASEAN region.
