KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s national automaker Proton is leading the market not only with best-sellers like the X70, X50, and the Saga but also by way of the dealership network.

It was only recently the automaker opened its 149th 3S/4S centre, thus making it the industry leader with so many outlets.

Called the Harima Auto Mobil 4S centre, it is the largest Proton dealership in the two East Costs of Terengganu and Kelantan. For those who aren’t aware Harima shares a long association with Proton, it has been the brand’s official dealer in the Kota Bharu region since 1986.

Harima director, Liew Vee Lee on the opening of the new centre said “What matters most are customers being happy to visit a dealership to shop for a new car. Once they have purchased it, the onus is on us to ensure they send their car back to us for scheduled servicing. Harima, however, felt we could not achieve the required level of customer satisfaction if we continued to operate as a small showroom without the necessary facilities, hence, the decision to operate as a 4S dealer.”

Location

Proton’s new dealership is located in the fast-developing Tunjong district of Kota Baru

Built-up area

The new dealership is built on 2,40 sq meter of area and houses 11 service bays, and 11 body & paint bays. The showroom floor is big enough to display ten cars at once

Amenities

The newest dealership is equipped with a comfortable customer lounge, a kid's play area, and even offers free WiFi. There is also a refreshment area offering Starbucks coffee to the customers. A merchandise corner is there to serve Proton & R3 branded products. The automaker is working with Proton Global Services to offer other add-on facilities to the customers.

Roslan Abdullah, deputy CEO of Proton said, “The opening of Harima Auto Mobil’s new 4S dealership will help raise the visibility of Proton in Kota Bharu. By having a full range of amenities and the required assets to serve a high volume of customers, we are hopeful of being able to raise the level of customer service and deliver a truly premium experience for customers in the state.”
