PROTON EV Brand Name Contest: 22,440 entries so far; ending on June 5

KUALA LUMPUR: Back on May 20, PRO-NET (Proton New Energy Technology) announced an exciting contest for car enthusiasts around the country. Dubbed as “PROTON EV Brand Name Contest,” it aims to engage fans and create buzz around Proton’s upcoming EV, where participants need to decode and guess the brand name of the car.

The PROTON EV Brand Name Contest has received an exceptional response from car enthusiasts, with automakers receiving more than 22,440 entries so far. However, the contest is now approaching its closing date i.e. June 5, 2024. Thus, the automaker is making a final call to participate and submit their entries before it ends.

"The overwhelming response to the PROTON EV Brand Name Contest is a testament to the passion and excitement shared by Malaysians as we usher in a new era of automotive excellence," remarked Zhang Qiang, Chief Executive Officer of PRO-NET. 

"With the finish line in sight, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all participants and encourage those who have yet to join the competition to seize this final opportunity to leave their mark on automotive history."

Requirements

The contest is open to all Malaysian residents aged 18 and above. Each participant must present their original IC (Identification Card) or Passport at the time of registration. Only one entry per IC or passport number is allowed.

Levels

The participants need to complete the following three levels to win the PROTON EV Brand Name Contest - 

• Quiz: Guess the name of PROTON's new EV Brand Name.
• Challenge: Quickly and correctly reorder the given images or statements.
• Invite and Follow: Share the contest link with friends and invite them to join and follow ProtonCarsOfficial (Facebook) or @protoncars (Instagram)for the winner announcement.

Prizes

• Grand Prize (1 Winner): RM 5,000 Cash.  
• 1st Runner Up (1 Winner): RM 1,500 Cash.  
• 2nd Runner Up (1 Winner): RM 1,000 Cash.  
• Top 5 Entries (5 Winners): Each winner receives RM 100 Cash.

The company will notify the winners via the contact details provided during entry submission. Make note the winners must respond and claim their prizes within 5 days of notification, or else another winner will be chosen.
