Pro-Net joins hands with ChargeSini for expansion of EV charging network
KUALA LUMPUR: Proton’s fully-owned subsidiary, Pro-Net, handles the sales and distribution of smart EVs and Proton’s upcoming NEVs (New energy vehicles). The company recently partnered with ChargeSini to expand its EV charging network in Malaysia.

It will be followed by Proton’s inaugural EV debut in 2025.The two companies have signed an agreement under which both are committed to enhancing the accessibility of public EV charging infrastructure across the nation. By signing this deal, Pro-Net aims to leverage ChargeSini’s ever-growing network of charging stations, including a substantial number of DC fast chargers strategically located at hotels, supermarkets, and shopping malls.
The collaboration involves integrating ChargeSini's network into Pro-Net's existing infrastructure, which can be accessed via the Hello smart app. In other words, the customers can find and use ChargeSini's charging stations on the Pro-Net app and enjoy a seamless charging experience.
This integration will help Pro-Net to expand its public charging points coverage from 70% to over 75% nationwide.
This transformative alliance was made at Pro-Net's headquarters, where Zhang Qiang, Pro-Net's Chief Executive Officer, and James Goh, ChargeSini's founder and Chief Executive Officer, signed the deal.
“This expansion reflects our unwavering dedication to constantly seeking partnerships that enhance our existing collaborations with Charge Point Operators (CPO) like Gentari, chargeEV, and jomcharge. Through the collaboration with ChargeSini, we reinforce our commitment to providing more convenient and reliable solutions for our customers,” said Pro-Net.
With the integration of ChargeSini EV chargers, the Hello smart App will become the “first and only app in Malaysia'' providing access to charging stations across four different CPOs.
Hello smart app will offer the following benefits to EV owners -
- The In-car Navigation System of the app allows customers to search and find charging stations easily.
- It eliminates range anxiety by providing navigation to destinations and live status updates on charging point availability.
- The EV owners can start charging sessions and make payments directly through the app.
- It aims to enhance the overall EV Premium Ownership Experience.
The expansion of the charging network will support the company’s growing lineup, with the highly-anticipated smart #3 launching in Q3 this year and Proton’s inaugural EV debut in 2025.
