Price confirmed for 2024 Mercedes-Benz C-Class PHEV in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Three months ago, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia introduced the plug-in hybrid variant of the C-Class, the C350e AMG Line, with an estimated price of RM 355,000. Now, it has revealed the final price tag of the electrified sedan, which reads RM 338,888, offering a significant reduction of RM 16,112 compared to the initial estimate.

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz C350e replaces the mild hybrid C300 variant and comes equipped with a plug-in hybrid setup, comprising a 2.0-litre turbocharged inline-four petrol engine and an electric motor. The former churns out a maximum power of  204 PS at 6,100 rpm and a peak torque of 320 Nm from 2,000 to 4,000 rpm while the e-motor is tuned to deliver 129 PS and 440 Nm. Combinedly, the setup makes 313 PS and 550 Nm.

The power is sent to the rear wheels via a 9-speed 9G-Tronic automatic transmission enabling the sedan to run from zero to 100 kmph in 6.1 seconds and hit a top speed of 245 kmph. 

Also part of the electrified setup is a 25.4 kWh battery pack, which offers an all-electric range of 117 km (on the WLTP cycle). When running in a pure EV model, the top speed of the car is electronically limited to 140 kmph. To recharge the battery, one can use an 11 kW AC charger, capable of juicing it up in just two hours.

In terms of design, the new C-Class trim looks slightly different from its stablemates thanks to distinctive 18-inch AMG 5-twin spoke light alloy wheels. It comes standard with the AMG Line package, including a star mesh pattern grille insert, sporty bumpers, black trims, and a rear diffuser-like element. Also part of the exterior kit are Digital Light LED headlamps, LED tail lights, panoramic sliding sunroof, and Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus.

Just like other C-Class trims, the cabin of the C350e AMG Line is also plush and comes loaded with tech goodies. Key inclusions are -

In terms of safety, the new Mercedes-Benz C350e is equipped with a comprehensive suite of active and passive safety features. These include - Blind spot assist, active brake assist, Pre-safe, Guard 360 vehicle protection, pedestrian protection, Distronic cruise control, lane keep assist, parking package with 360-degree camera, active parking assist with Parktronic, driver fatigue warning, and tyre pressure warning.

Upon purchasing the 2024 Mercedes-Benz C350e, the company offers a standard 4-year, unlimited mileage warranty for the vehicle and a 6-year, 100,000 km warranty for the battery.
