Preview of 2016 Porsche 911 '991.2' in Official Shots
KUALA LUMPUR: Some recent official photos of the 2016 Porsche 911 are released, which is also called as the '991.2' in Stuttgart. Few modifications are done, but these are covered with black shield to keep it hidden.
There are some changes at exterior which includes altered headlights and LED daytime running lights. Though, these pictures are not describing too much about the car, the rear bumper houses an exhaust design closer to each other.
The steering of 911 is borrowed from its previous generation 918 Spyder and is featured with driving mode selector with four options. Porsche's new-generation Communication Management infotainment system will be well-equipped, and was is already working in the new Cayenne range.
The mechanical changes are more important for the recent launch of the 911 and optional changes will be least undertaken. A source from Porsche revealed that the 3.4 and 3.8 L engine will be eliminated and new small turbocharged units will be available. Only the GT3 and GT3 RS models will carry the naturally-aspirated 4.0L flat-six engine producing power of 500 hp.
