Porsche Training Academy-Apprentice Programme now in Malaysia
KUALA LUMPUR: Earlier this month, the official distributor of Porsche Malaysia, Sime Darby Auto Performance (SDAP), announced the local assembly of Porsche cars. To ramp up that, the company needs Porsche-trained and thus it introduced a new factory-supported technical training program in association with TOC Automotive College (TOC) named Porsche Training Academy-Apprentice Programme (PTAAP).

The “2+1” year PTAAP program involves a two-year classroom at TOC and one-year on-the-job training at Porsche Centres with an equal focus on theoretical concepts and practical skills. The first enrolments for the three-year training will start from February 2022.
The classroom training will focus on the increased complexity and tech advancements of future Porsche cars. The trainer will also learn specific Porsche International Zertifizierter Porsche Techniker (ZPT) modules for a thorough understanding of Zuffenhausen’s high-performance machines.
As for assessment, the course is designed with regular assessments throughout the curriculum. After the completion of one-year on-the-job training, an overall evaluation will also be conducted in which the top performers will be presented with Porsche Certified Technician Bronze Level certification along with a TOC program certification (Diploma in Automotive Technology or the Master Technician Course).
