Porsche Cyber 677 Concept appears as a wild twist to the iconic 911

KUALA LUMPUR: As a core model, Porsche 911 influences the design of all the cars present in Porsche’s lineup. The company's designers seem to have the most straightforward job, as all the models echo the iconic 911. But, outside Porsche, many designers intend to move the brand away from its influence, and Pawel Breshke is one of those.

The independent automotive designer recently presents his spectacular project, named Cyber 677 Porsche, which is an ultra-futuristic take on the 911 sports car. He is the same artist who has designed the stunning Ferrari F42 concept.

The new concept is not 911 by name, but it's silhouette looks familiar to fans of the iconic original, though with distinctive new cues. The concept has a unique front end highlighted by the lustrous two-bar light fixture (similar to Genesis G80), carbon fibre, and bronze accents. In the bottom, two massive vents are present on each side.

The Cyber 677 has bronze-and-black five-spoke wheels, which have never seen before in any Porsche. It also features rear view cameras instead of mirrors for enough visibility to the rear. At the back, the concept carries the 911's light bar, though exceptional detailing like the blue-tinged exhaust tips gives the concept, a distinguished look.

"A few months ago, I had an idea to design a new Porsche concept, but I didn't want it to be another copy of 911," designer Pawel Breshke tells us via email. "I desired to create something new and a Cyber idea came to my mind. This idea forced me to break some crucial existing features of the brand, but I wanted to keep the general silhouette which is very recognizable to the whole world."

The interior of the Cyber 677 concept shows a dramatic view. In place of centre screen, it carries a few switches only. The steering wheel has a rectangular form with a blue "Porsche" logo in the front. Behind it, there is a large curved screen that acts as a speedometer. The cabin also leather finishings, aluminum fixtures, and unique lighting details in the driver footwell.

Breshke's design is appreciable, and it is closest to Porsche Taycan in automaker's stable. However, the next 911 does not seem to take this wild twist anytime soon.
