Planning to buy a Proton or Perodua? Here’s the model-wise waiting period
KUALA LUMPUR: A three-month-long period has now become a common sight in the automotive industry, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic. Why? Labor and semiconductor shortage post the pandemic across the globe; not to forget the logistic difficulties the market has been facing for a long.
National automakers, Proton and Perodua are no different from non-national players, as the two carmakers are loaded with orders. We’ll discuss them one by one.
As for Proton, its waiting period ranges from 1 to 5 months making customers wait for their dream car. The table below shows the waiting period for 2023 models -
