Bermaz Auto Alliance, a Peugeot distributor in Malaysia launched the facelifted 3008 SUV late last year along with the 5008. Produced locally by Stellantis at its new Gurun assembly plant in Kedah, both cars are built in accordance with the automaker’s global quality standards.

    Exterior

    The Peugeot 3008 showcases an assertive character with a breakthrough front and a bold new era of modernity. At the front, it gets a new frameless grille with gloss black side scoops and painted lower bumper trim.

    Headlight

    The 3008 features signature lighting including LED headlights with hook-shaped DRLs that are instantly recognizable and characteristically Peugeot. The lighting unit also features integrated cornering lamps.

    Wheels

    The SUV rides on 18-inch Los Angeles Alloy Wheels with solid door sill and arch protectors that enhance the car’s look.

    Rear lights

    At the rear the 3008 features full-LED lights with a ‘3D lion claw’ lighting signature and scrolling indicators. These units also feature a smoked glass lens that gives the car an extra sporty look.

    Tailgate

    The 3008 SUV comes equipped with a hands-free power tailgate that gets activated by simply waving the foot under the rear bumper.

    Interior

    On the inside, the 3008 SUV features a comforting and stylish cabin with a top-of-the-range ergonomic driving position i-Cockpit which makes the driving experience simple and intuitive.

    Wireless charger

    The 3008 comes with a wireless charging station wherein the user just needs to place the smartphone in the designated area. Thus, making sure running out of battery is never an issue here.

    Connectivity

    Peugeot has equipped the SUV with a 10-inch capacitive colour touchscreen with elegant chrome Toggle Switches that make accessing functions quick and intuitive. The system also comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

    Instrument panel

    The 12.3-inch customizable and configurable, digital head-up cluster display provides optimized legibility and display quality of the information selected by the driver.

    Engine

    Powering the Peugeot 3008 SUV is a 1.6-litre Twin Turbo High Pressure engine making a maximum power of 165 hp at 6,000 rpm along with a peak torque of 240 Nm at 1,400 rpm. The power is sent to the wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission.

    The said powertrain is an Engineering Design Award Engine and combines the superiority of turbo tech with a direct fuel injection system.

    Warning

    For added safety on road, the 3008 comes with a two-stage driver alert system, including speed limit recognition and driver attention warning

    Grip

    The 3008 comes with an advanced traction control system called Advanced Grip Control that allows the SUV to grip the road in any terrain condition. It is done by optimizing the traction in both the front wheels. The car is offered in five driving modes, ESP, Snow, Sand, Standard, and All Terrain, thus further adapting the driver to the terrain.

    Hill Assist Descent

    When on steep slopes, the Hill Assist Descent Control optimizes the car’s control. During the descent, the system maintains speed and brake control.

    Lane Assist

    Using a camera, the Active Lane Keeping Assist detects and recognizes solid or broken lines. It warns the driver about an accidental lane crossing and even corrects the car's trajectory
