Perodua offers assistance to customers impacted by recent floods

KUALA LUMPUR: One-in-a-100-year heavy rainfall recently caused widespread flooding in several states in Malaysia, including Selangor, Putrajaya, Kuala Lumpur, Melaka, Kelantan, Terengganu, and Pahang. It has made several roads impassable with reports of cars stuck on flooded roads as well as highways. Amid this, the automaker Perodua announced assistance for all Perodua vehicle owners who were affected by floods. These include towing service rebates, discounts on selected spare parts, and free inspections for Perodua vehicles

"Our customers are very important to us and these value-added services are provided to help relieve some of the burdens our customers have to deal with during this disaster," said Perodua President & Chief Executive Officer, Dato' Zainal Abidin Ahmad.

"While a few of our service centres are also affected by the floods, our customers are encouraged to refer to any of our service outlets throughout Malaysia for assistance."

"We are doing our best to resume our operations (at the affected areas) as quick as possible," he added.

Perodua offers -

• A towing service claim of up to RM100 to the nearest Perodua service outlet (T&C apply)
• 20% off on selected spare parts on flood damaged vehicles, covering electronics items, engine overhaul gaskets, vehicle seats, door trim, and carpets.

"Our genuine spare parts come with a manufacturer's warranty and we ask our customers to not use any imitation parts as this may affect the performance of their vehicles," said Dato' Zainal.

Perodua car owners whose vehicles have been affected by recent floods can call the brand’s toll-free customer care line at 1-800-88-5555 for towing assistance.
