Perodua extends a helping hand, contributes medical supplies to hospital
KUALA LUMPUR: As part of its ongoing drive to support key public institutions nationwide, Perodua has contributed medical supplies worth RM 80,000 to Hospital Sungai Buloh.
Dato’ Zainal Abidin Ahmad, Perodua President and Chief Executive Officer said, “The supplies provided are based on feedback given by the hospital’s administrative team to help keep their staff safe and patients comfortable,”
The medical supplies contributed by the compact car company included -
- 5000 face shields
- Wheelchairs equipped with safety belt
- Transfer boards
- Commode chairs
- Walking frames
- Bed railings
- Rehabilitation chairs
- Therapy tilt table
- Walking sticks
Note, the above mentioned 5000 face shields were manufactured by an associate company. And with the latest offering, the total face shield contribution by Perodua to different organisations in the country comes down to 35,000.
Speaking of which, Perodua previously distributed face shields in schools, local government offices & councils, clinics, and to market hawkers in the surrounding community. These face shields are designed with utmost care making sure they aren’t just protective but comfortable as well. For instance, they feature a fog-resistant visor, sponge cushioning at the forehead, and an adjustable elastic band for a comfortable fit.
Also during the first MCO in 2020, Perodua came forward to help society. The automaker donated 150 mattresses, 150 boxes of mineral bottles, 200 pillows, 300 pairs of rubber boots, and 15 industrial fans to the Hospital Sungai Buloh.
Dato’ Zainal said, “We will continue to communicate with key public institutions to see where Perodua may contribute strategically in supporting the nation. We thank and salute our brave men and women who work tirelessly to serve us all.”
