Perodua EM-O EV Concept breaks cover at Malaysia Auto Show

KUALA LUMPUR: At the Malaysia Auto Show 2023, Perodua has unveiled the first official glimpse of its future B-Segment EV hatchback in the form of the Electric Motion Online (EM-O) concept. The car on display is not a full-sized model, but rather a 1:6 scale clay iteration of the upcoming EV.

    • The electric motor of the concept vehicle is capable of generating 95 PS of maximum power and 121 Nm of peak torque
    • The performance figures of the Perodua EV hatchback include a century sprint of 10 seconds and a top speed of a 160 kmph
    • The motor will be mated to a 50-kWh lithium-ion battery pack delivering a range of between 300 km - 350 km
    • As for charging, it will support DC charging of up to 300 kW offering 80% SoC in just 20 minutes. The standard charging will take 7 hours 30 minutes for 100% SoC
