Perodua donated RM 151,000 to public hospitals as a part of its CSR initiative
KUALA LUMPUR: Every now and then, we hear about the philanthropy efforts of the big marques supporting society leading to inclusive growth. One of them is the country’s largest automaker Perodua which generously contributed towards public healthcare, particularly during the pandemic. While continuing to provide its support to the same domain, the company has recently donated RM 151,000 to two public hospitals in the form of goods and equipment.

The recent donation is a part of the brand’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiative to further enhance the public healthcare system in the country.

Perodua President and Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad said: “Our intention is to assist institutions that give the greatest benefit to all Malaysians, such as government hospitals which are available to all.”
Perodua has provided medical and healthcare equipment to the following public hospitals in the country so far -
- Sarawak General Hospital
- Selayang hospital
- Sungai Buloh Hospital
- Sabah Women's and Children's Hospital in Likas
- Shah Alam Hospital
- Chancellor Tuanku Muhriz Hospital
- Ampang Hospital, Putrajaya Hospital
- Several other community clinics in the Hulu Selangor district
“We believe that in order to make a difference, we need to be consistent in our efforts, we are proud to assist those who work tirelessly in serving the nation.
“We will continue to work with such bodies in the future as we believe that this is the best way for us to give back to the support that has been shown to us,” Dato’ Sri Zainal added.
