Perodua accepts govt’s Automotive Discount Voucher for repairing flood-damaged vehicles
KUALA LUMPUR: As a part of the Malaysian Family Flood Aid programme, the government is offering an automotive discount voucher worth RM 1,000 to the people for servicing their vehicles damaged by the recent floods. Perodua welcomed this initiative of the government and started accepting the voucher as a form of payment.

The vehicle owners can get this Automotive Discount Voucher from the authorised service centres of the participating automotive brands. It can be immediately redeemed against the repair of a water-damaged private vehicle or towards the replacement of a vehicle deemed to be a total loss.
The deadline for using the Automotive Discount Voucher is March 31, 2022, as per the Ministry of Finance.
“This voucher initiative, along with other financial assistance under the Malaysian Family Aid programme will go a long way in helping everyday Malaysians to quickly recover,” Dato’ Zainal said.
Perodua rolled out its Flood Assist Programme on 19 December 2021, under which it offers a 50% discount for standard parts, complimentary labour service, and free 24-hour towing service. A total of 1,987 Perodua cars have been towed to the service centres for evaluation and 323 units have been repaired so far.
In addition, the company has also set up an exclusive flood repair hub in Shah Alam for repairing and restoring Perodua vehicles damaged due to the floods.
“Our immediate goal is to repair the flood-damaged vehicles as quickly as possible as we understand that our customers truly need their Perodua vehicle for their day-to-day needs,” Dato’ Zainal said.
