KUALA LUMPUR: JAECOO, known for its refined luxury SUVs, has officially launched the JAECOO OMODA C9 SUV Coupé.

The brand-new off-road-ready premium SUV is positioned as a competitive option in Malaysia’s D-segment SUV market, boasting high-end features and attractive pricing.

The OMODA C9 SUV Coupé is priced at RM168,800 for the Two-Wheel Drive (2WD) variant and RM188,800 for the All-Wheel Drive (AWD) variant.

Feature-packed SUV catering to modern demands

According to JAECOO, the C9 SUV Coupé aligns perfectly with insights from the 2024 Global Automotive Consumer Study, which revealed a growing consumer preference for quality vehicles with innovative features.

JAECOO aims to meet these demands by offering a seven-year warranty (or up to 150,000km) as standard.

Early bird customers booking before December 8, 2024, are entitled to an extended 10-year warranty (or up to 1,000,000km) for the engine and suspension system.

The C9 SUV Coupé stands out with its sleek yet commanding exterior. Measuring 4,775mm in length, 1,920mm in width, and 1,671mm in height, it offers a spacious cabin with premium touches, including leatherette upholstery, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, and electric seat adjusters.

Available in Matte Grey, Khaki White, and Carbon Crystal Black, the SUV also sports R20 multi-blade alloy rims wrapped in high-performance Michelin tyres.

Built for adventure, the C9’s ground clearance of 165mm and water wading depth of 450mm make it capable in challenging terrains. The AWD variant further enhances versatility with seven drive modes, while the 2WD version provides three modes for city and light off-road driving.

Power and performance

Under the hood, the JAECOO C9 is powered by a 2.0-litre TGDI inline-four engine, producing 257 hp and 400Nm of torque. The engine is paired with an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission, ensuring smooth and responsive performance.

Safety and convenience

JAECOO prioritizes safety with a robust Level 2.5 ADAS system, which includes:

• Lane Departure Warning & Prevention
• Blind Spot Detection
• Emergency Lane Keeping Assist
• Driver Monitoring System

The interior also comes equipped with convenience features like a 540-degree surround view camera, 3-zone climate control, and a fragrance system with customizable scents.

Delivery and dealership network

JAECOO Malaysia announced that the first batch of OMODA C9 SUV Coupés will arrive at dealerships by January 2025, with coverage across central, northern, southern regions, and East Malaysia.
