Nissan strengthens its EV game with the all-new Kicks e-Power
KUALA LUMPUR: In a bid to expand its EV game in the ASEAN region, Nissan has now launched the all-new Kicks e-Power in the Philippines. The automaker is expected to bring its new electric offering to other markets in the region soon.

All the three Nissan Kicks e-Power variants are powered by a 1.2-litre DOHC 12-valve three-cylinder mill whose sole job is to charge the battery while running at an optimum speed. Thus improving the car’s mileage in different driving situations. Powering the EV, on the other hand, is a fully electric motor making 136 PS and 280 Nm of torque.
Adding to the Nissan’s new EV efficiency is the regenerative braking that adds to the car’s fuel efficiency. As per the UNR101 testing, the all-new Kicks e-Power offers fuel efficiency of 22-25 kmpl depending on the driving and traffic conditions.

Exterior: New Nissan logo, black double V-Motion grilles, LED lights all around (headlight, tail light, front fog lights), silver roof rails
Interior: Keyless entry with intelligent key & push button engine start-stop systems, 8-inch advanced touchscreen display with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay support, Bluetooth connectivity, 7-inch color TFT display meter with fuel gauge, power meter, battery gauge, and drive range info. Also part of the kit is zero gravity seats, and D-shaped leather steering wheel
Safety: Hill Start Assist, Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, Vehicle Dynamic Control, Intelligent Emergency Braking, Intelligent Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection, and Electronic Parking Brake Switch with Auto Hold Function.
Note, the availability of the above mentioned features are based on the variant option selected.
Each purchase will be accompanied with a 5-year or 150,000 km warranty period for the EV , e-POWER system, and battery.
Nissan Kicks e-Power coming to Malaysia?
Well, nothing can be said for sure, however, the sole distributor of Nissan cars in Malaysia, Edaran Tan Chong Motor did reveal that one of the upcoming models joining the local lineup will be the Kicks. The compact SUV is in high demand in the country and its arrival would be a big step in the electrification game.
