Nissan Kicks e-Power arrived in Vietnam; Will Malaysia be next?
KUALA LUMPUR: Back in February, Edaran Tan Chong Motors (ETCM), the official distributor of Nissan cars in Malaysia, teased the Kicks e-Power in its Chinese New Year greeting clip, which sparked the rumours of the B-segment crossover's arrival in the country. Well, the hybrid SUV is now again making the headlines, but this time not for Malaysia but for Vietnam, where it has just landed.

- The hybrid car is equipped with the second-gen e-POWER technology comprising a 1.2-litre DOHC 12-valve 3-cylinder engine and electric motor. The setup combinedly churns out a maximum power of 136 PS and a peak torque of 280 Nm
- The available driving modes are - EV, Normal, Sport, and Eco
- The SUV measures 4.305 mm in length, 1.760 mm in width and 1.615 mm in height and spans a 2,620 mm long wheelbase. The ground clearance and minimum turning radius stand at 182 mm and 5.100 mm, respectively.
- Design-wise, the Nissan Kicks e-Power looks young and sporty with a V-motion grille and boomerang-shaped LED headlights housing daytime running LED strips. Also, part of the exterior kit is arrow-shaped LED tail lights and 5-spoke wheels
- Inside, the SUV is kitted with a D-cut steering wheel. zero gravity driver's seat, a 7.0-inch advanced driver assistance screen, an 8.0-inch A-IVI entertainment unit with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity and an e-Pedal Step
- Part of the safety pack are six airbags, hill start assist, around view monitor with MOD (Moving Object Detection), Driver Attention Alert system, reverse sensor, cruise control, ABS with EBD and BA, vehicle dynamic control, traction control system and more
