New Ford Everest - Teaser Released
KUALA LUMPUR : Ford Everest is yet again teased by the Official Ford vehicles' importer and distributor of Malaysia, Sime Darby Auto Connexion (SDAC). The upcoming SUV by Ford is expected to hit Malaysian ways by November this year, which was earlier scheduled to come before September.
Having witnessed the new Toyota Fortuner earlier in this week, there is no comparison on the exterior part with the upcoming Everest, as, Fortuner clearly outclasses the other. But, the owners of Ford Everest would be treated with immensely good cabin, which is equipped with seven seats. The cabin comes with 30 excellent positions for storage, which can be utilized by the passengers on a long journey.
There is also an Active Noise Cancellation inside the car, which works with the help of 3 separate microphones, used to measure noise. Once the noise is detected by the interface, it will produce the opposing sound waves that'll overpower the noise via inbuilt speakers. Other possible features that would be adhered in this SUV are tri-zone auto air conditioning system, heated seats, front & rear parking sensors, touchscreen with GPS navigation, Active Adaptive Cruise Control and the reverse camera.
It will come in two power trains, that are 2.2L and 3.2L Duratoq diesel engines. The former one would churn out a maximum power output of 158 hp and 385 Nm of torque. While, the bigger 3.2L engine would produce 197 hp and 470 Nm of torque. Both the above mentioned engines would be mated to a 6-speed automatic system. The power is transmitted to all the four wheels which depends on the variant chosen by the customers.
The likely price of the smaller power train would be around RM150k to 160k, while the other engine would get a price tag of RM200k.
