KUALA LUMPUR:  Harmony Auto, a prominent automobile dealership group from China, has inaugurated its first BYD outlet at Hartamas Shopping Centre. Located in a thriving area known for its high-rise apartments and substantial expatriate population, this new establishment is BYD's third dealership in Kuala Lumpur, as stated on their website.

The new 3S center in Sri Hartamas covers around 8,000 square feet and is equipped with a variety of facilities aimed at enhancing the customer experience. The center includes a spacious car display area, a luxurious customer lounge, dedicated discussion rooms, and a delivery area. The after-sales reception area, which blends modern design with personalized service, is conveniently accessible directly from the mall's parking lot.

The outlet also offers six parking spaces, four of which are equipped with charging stations for BYD vehicles. This strategically chosen location and well-thought-out layout ensure both ease of access and convenience for customers. BYD owners can effortlessly charge or service their vehicles while enjoying the mall's array of F&B outlets and practical shops, making their visit both productive and enjoyable.

Mr. Liang Xinyue, President of BYD Asia-Pacific, who officiated the launch of the outlet, said “The opening of the BYD Hartamas outlet in a mall not only brings new vitality to the Malaysian market but also injects new momentum into introducing Malaysia's green travel”.  

He mentioned that the location is perfect because it allows customers to shop for BYD products and get their cars serviced all in one place. Liang noted that there is a growing number of BYD customers in Hartamas and the surrounding areas, and this new outlet will meet the increasing demand for green vehicles.

Harmony Auto’s new BYD outlet will also serve as a Service and Spare Parts Centre, set to open in Q4 this year. This makes it the first 3S centre in Malaysia located within a shopping mall. Looking ahead, Harmony Auto and BYD plan to deepen their partnership by opening more dealerships across Malaysia, aiming to boost the growth of the Malaysian new energy vehicle market.

During the opening ceremony, Harmony Auto handed over 10 BYD cars to customers, fulfilling their promise of immediate delivery. This gesture, which received positive feedback from the new owners, not only highlighted the quality of BYD vehicles but also demonstrated the brand's strong commitment to the Malaysian market and its ability to promptly meet customer demand.

Malaysia's new energy vehicle market is showing significant potential, attracting interest from foreign companies eager to partner with local players. This partnership with Harmony Auto is crucial for promoting sustainable transportation and aligning with the nation's goals for greener mobility.

The company specializes in the sale of luxury and ultra-luxury vehicles and is expanding into the global market for intelligent new energy vehicle services.

In 2023, Harmony Auto entered into a strategic partnership with BYD, a global leader in intelligent new energy vehicles. Currently, Harmony Auto successfully operates several new energy vehicle sales and service outlets in Hong Kong, Southeast Asia, Australia, Japan, and other Asia-Pacific regions.

Apparently, the company is also expanding its presence in European countries such as the UK and France. Harmony Auto plans to further expand its market reach to more regions and countries, providing intelligent and green travel services, and contributing to global energy conservation, emission reduction, and sustainable green development.
