Mitsubishi Xforce SUV makes world premiere at GIIAS 2023
KUALA LUMPUR: After a long teaser campaign, Mitsubishi has finally revealed its new compact SUV, called the Xforce, at the Gaikindo Indonesia Auto Show 2023. The new Mitsubishi Xforce is the production version of the XFC Concept showcased last year. It will first go on sale in Indonesia, followed by other ASEAN markets, Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East.

Powering the new Mitsubishi Xforce is a 1.5-litre engine that cranks out a maximum power of 105 hp and a peak torque of 141 Nm. The power is sent to the front wheels via a CVT gearbox. The SUV comes with four drive modes - Normal, Gravel, Mud, and Wet. When driving on wet surfaces, the Wet mode reduces the risk of losing control and enhances handling and stability.
Despite being a two-wheel drive SUV, the Xforce integrates the brand's four-wheel control technology. Adjusting the driving force between the front and rear wheels is an Active Yaw Control system. The suspension duties are managed by a MacPherson strut at the front and a torsion beam unit at the rear.
