Mitsubishi Xforce set to arrive in Vietnam and Philippines; what about Malaysia?
KUALA LUMPUR: The Mitsubishi Xforce made its global debut at the Gaikindo Indonesia Auto Show 2023 last August. Originally slated for release in Indonesia, Mitsubishi’s new compact SUV is now en route to other ASEAN markets.

The commemorative event took place at Tanjung Priok port, with representatives from the Indonesian and Japanese governments, along with stakeholders from Mitsubishi Motors, in attendance.
During the ceremony, Mitsubishi Motors president and chief executive officer, Takao Kato expressed his thoughts. He said, “We are very proud to export from our production hub in Indonesia. Going forward, we hope to export to various regions, thereby making a further contribution to the Indonesian economy and the development of the Indonesian automobile industry.”
The Mitsubishi Xforce features a new Dynamic Shield face with front and rear lights featuring T-shaped signatures and 18-inch alloys. Size-wise, the SUV is 4,390 mm long, 1,810 mm wide, and 1,660 mm tall and spans a wheelbase of 2,650 mm. It boasts the best-in-class turning radius of 5.2 metres.
Powering the Mitsubishi Xforce is a 1.5-litre engine, which generates a maximum power of 105 hp and a peak torque of 141 Nm. Among the key interior highlights are - an 8.0-inch instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch central monolithic display, Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium sound system, and advanced safety features.
Mitsubishi has confirmed that four variants of the SUV will be offered in Vietnam, with prices ranging from VND 620 million (approx RM 118k) to VND 699 million (approx RM 133k). Additionally, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation Executive Vice President for Sales, Tatsuo Nakamura, disclosed plans for the vehicle's introduction in the Philippines by June 2024.
If we talk about the arrival of the new Mitsubishi Xforce in Malaysia, there is uncertainty as the automaker has not outlined a clear schedule as of now.
