Mitsubishi eX Concept Unveiled Ahead of 2015 Tokyo Motor Show
KUALA LUMPUR: Mitsubishi has unveiled its eX Concept ahead of 2015 Tokyo Motor Show to be held from October 29 (Thursday) through November 8 (Sunday), 2015 at Tokyo Big Sight (Ariake, Koto-Ku, Tokyo). The eX concept serves as a preview of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation’s (MMC) next-gen electric vehicle (EV) technologies.
The front fascia of the eX Concept features the trademark 'Dynamic Shield’ front grille design as seen on other Mitsubishi concepts and current models. The headlights have been repositioned to the lower section to make way for the turn signals and LED daytime running lamps and avoid blinding oncoming vehicles and pedestrians.
On the side, eX Concept features a shooting brake profile with aggressive lines and cuts into the overall shape. The C-pillar has been blacked-out to accommodate a floating roof design and the access to the back seats is given through a set of suicide doors, thanks to the lack of B-pillars.

At the rear of the eX Concept, there is a blacked-out portion highlighting the tailgate with slim taillights placed on the upper side beside it. Also, you can notice more fluorescent triangular elements are at the corners of the rear bumpers.
The interior of eX Concept includes contrast color seats made of soft-touch materials, touch panels and an augmented reality (AR) windshield that is integrated with the Intelligent Display platform and Caution Tracking System to keep drivers fully aware of the possible hazards. The eX Concept also gets a working powertrain that includes a pair of electric motors (front and rear axle), which produce 94hp of all-electric power from a 45 kWh lithium-ion battery pack placed beneath the body. Equipped with MMC’s Twin Motor 4WD and S-AWC (Super All Wheel Control) system, the all-electric SUV features a cruising range of 400km post the JC08 cycle.
