MINI Malaysia’s Impact Program by URBAN-X seeks Innovative urban tech startups

KUALA LUMPUR:  MINI Malaysia is taking a significant step towards fostering innovation in urban technology by introducing the MINI Impact Program by URBAN-X to Malaysian startups. This initiative invites local entrepreneurs to join a global effort aimed at solving pressing urban challenges through groundbreaking technological solutions.

Building on the success of previous editions in various countries, the program now extends its reach to Malaysia, seeking startups that are working on sustainable and transformative urban solutions. The MINI Impact Program offers a unique opportunity for Malaysian innovators to contribute to the global movement towards smarter cities.

Empowering Urban Innovators

The MINI Impact Program is a four-week intensive experience designed to equip startups with the tools they need to refine their ideas and scale their impact. Over the course of the program, participants will engage in three weeks of remote sessions, culminating in a final week at the URBAN-X headquarters in New York City.

Since its inception in 2022, the program has already made waves across Europe, the Americas, Africa, and Asia. In 2024, it expands its footprint even further by welcoming participants from Malaysia, the Netherlands, Japan, the UK, India, Mexico, and Italy.

Selected startups from Malaysia will gain access to a wealth of resources, including expert guidance in engineering and design, investment capital from URBAN-X’s venture partner JVP, and connections to a global network of investors, policymakers, and industry leaders. This comprehensive support aims to help these startups refine their solutions and bring them to market, making a real difference in urban environments.

Application Now Open

Malaysian startups focused on urban technology solutions are encouraged to apply for the MINI Impact Program by URBAN-X. The application window is open until 31st August 2024, and interested participants can submit their applications at the official program website.

This initiative underscores MINI Malaysia’s commitment to driving innovation and supporting the growth of the country’s startup ecosystem, all while contributing to the global effort to create smarter, more sustainable cities.
