Mercedes-Benz X-Class gets amazing lifts up from Delta4x4
KUALA LUMPUR: The Mercedes-Benz X-Class might soon see the end of the day, but that doesn’t stop the aftermarket tuner to modify it at their leisure. We here present you the aggressive-looking X-Class built by delta4x4 - a Germany-based off-road car specialist.
The modified X-Class has no official name, but it looks like it’s all set to go up against the Ford Ranger Raptor. So, what all the tuner has added to the car? To start off, there is a suspension lift kit, thanks to which the ride height of the vehicle has been increased by a few inches. Next comes the new and huge alloy wheels, available in the 17-23-inch range. These alloy wheels are wrapped with Cooper Discoverer STT Pro off-road tyres that offer a better grip on off-beaten paths.
Delta4X4 has given the X-Class many more key upgrades like - a front skid plate, roof-mounted LED light bar, a stainless steel bull bar, additional underbody protection, wide fender flares along with an optional bed with a sports bar.
The German-tuner has kept under the hood configurations untouched. This means the X-Class can either be had with a 2.5-litre turbodiesel inline-four or with the more powerful 3.0-litre turbodiesel V6 mill. While the former powerplant churns out a maximum power of 163 PS along with a peak torque of 403 Nm, the later mill poops out 258 PS and 550 Nm. The power is sent down to the wheels via a 7-speed automatic gearbox.
The Mercedes-Benz X-Class is soon going out of production, but with the German tuner in the picture, it is one of the best ways to keep the premium pickup truck alive in the auto picture.
