Mercedes-Benz GLB updated for 2022 in Malaysia
KUALA LUMPUR: Along with updating the A-Class sedan, Mercedes-Benz has also revised the specs and pricing of the GLB sports utility vehicle in Malaysia.

The mentioned prices are on-the-road without insurance and inclusive of the ongoing SST rebate that is valid till June 30, 2022.
In terms of specs, new for 2022 are 64-colour ambient lighting, wireless charging pad, Active Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive High Beam Assist, and Blind Spot Assist. The latter now comes as a standard specification on the 2022 GLB.
Other than that, things remain the same. The Mercedes SUV continues to feature a classic off-road boxy design with a luggage volume of up to 1,805 litres.
Adding to the comfort and luxury quotient of the SUV are leather upholstery, powered front seats, panoramic sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, three-spoke multi-functional steering wheel, TFT instrument console with different layouts, and a hi-tech touchscreen infotainment system.
On the mechanical front also, both variants remain unchanged. The GLB 200 Progressive Line continues to get energy from a 1.3-litre four-cyl turbo petrol engine that kicks out a maximum power output of 163 hp of power at 5500 rpm and a peak torque of 250 Nm 1620-4000 rpm.
The GLB 250 AMG Line, on the other hand, is equipped with a 2.0-litre four-pot turbo gasoline mill, which delivers 224 hp of power at 5500 rpm and 350 Nm of torque at 1800 - 4000 rpm. Both engines are coupled with the same nine-speed automatic transmission.
In terms of performance, the GLB 200 Progressive Line can run from zero to 100 kmph in 9.1 seconds before hitting a top speed of 207 kmph. The GLB 250 AMG Line covers the century run in 6.9 seconds and clocks a top speed of 236 kmph.
The updated Mercedes-Benz GLB is now available at all Mercedes-Benz authorized dealerships nationwide.
