KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • What powers the Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid?

The Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine and a single electric motor, combinedly producing 739 PS and 950 Nm.
  • How fast is the Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid?

The Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid runs from zero to 100 kmph in 3.7 seconds and clocks a top speed of 295 kmph.
  • First things first, the new Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid is powered by a plug-in hybrid powertrain that combines a mighty 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine and a single electric motor. Borrowed from the Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid, the engine is tuned to produce higher levels of output here; figuratively it delivers a maximum power of 599 PS and 800 Nm of torque, which is 49 PS and 30 Nm more than the Turbo S E-Hybrid.

The electric motor also gets an upgrade as it now delivers 176 PS and 460 Nm, representing a bump of 40 PS and 60 Nm. Together, the system kicks out the impressive output of 739 PS and 950 Nm, enabling the Cayenne hybrid to hit the century sprint in 3.7 seconds (0.1 seconds quicker than the Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid). The top speed is rated the same at 295 kmph.

The hybrid set also comprises a 25.9 kWh battery that offers an electric-only range of 82 km, 30 km more than the Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid. Adding to the car’s dynamic ride and handling are - Adaptive air suspension, torque vectoring, dynamic chassis control, and rear axle steering.

In terms of design, the new Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid features a redesigned front fascia with a bigger grille, reworked LED matrix headlights, and an LED tail light bar running across the width of the boot lid. Porsche also offers a standard GT package with the coupe, adding black accents all around the exterior for a meaner appearance.

The key interior highlights of the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid include -

    • 12.3-inch infotainment system
    • 12.6-inch digital driver’s display
    • Heated GT sports steering wheel

    • Aluminium dashboard inlays and door trims
    • Roof lining covered in Race-Tex
