Meet the limited-run GT3 70 Year Porsche Australia Edition
KUALA LUMPUR: As the name suggests in the title, Porsche Australia has introduced a special, limited edition 911 GT3. Anything special? Well, yes. The limited-run GT3 pays tribute to the first two Porsche cars to arrive in Australia, 70 years ago.
It is to be noted that it is for the first time in Porsche’s history that it has introduced a market-specific edition of a 911 model. It is a big deal for Australia as well, as it is for the first time the country gets its own special edition car.
The 70 Year Porsche Australia Edition is based on the GT3 Touring and will be offered by the automaker in two transmission options - a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch unit.
Coming to a few details and highlights about the 911 GT3 70 Year Porsche Australia Edition -
It is a joint effort by Porsche Cars Australia, Style Porsche design team, and Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur.
The limited-edition model is finished in the same colour, Fish Silver Grey, as seen on the first Porsche 356 imported in Australia in 1951
On the inside, the dashboard and centre console are dipped in the same iconic Fish Silver Grey tone
The striking part of the entire cabin, however, is the elaborate bucket seats with Graphite Blue leather and Madraskaro check fabric
