Mazda Koeru SUV concept to debut at Frankfurt
Kuala Lumpur: Mazda issued the solitary design sketch of another SUV concept pointing that Japanese car maker's crossover range will not stop with CX-3 and CX-5. Mazda will whip covers off its low-slung sporty Koeru concept at next month's Frankfurt Motor show.
The company is keeping deliberate vague on just what Koeru concept previews, though it released a teaser in signature style, done by Luca Zollino. The single teaser sketch released today showed the sleek looking crossover in five door hatch style. No further details have been issued so far, leaving its lovers to guess from the arty sketch issued today.
Taking its name from Japanese, Koeru means “exceed” or “go beyond” which is believed to be the fitting name for the latest venture in the booming crossover market. Although automaker has not mentioned any production plans but said, “It is looking to surpass existing standards and raise the bar for performance, efficiency and overall value” with Koeru.
The low slung crossover manifests the overtly aggressive stylings and exaggerated proportions and continued the signature KODO design language emphasized with sleek headlights, grille and flowing wheel arches. In Mazda design speak,“ Koeru expresses the power and vitality of predator along with the unique level of refined dignity”.
The car will feature the Skyactive technology which aims to the lightweight design philosophy, energy saving techniques and non turbo engines offering the thrilling drive without compromising on Eco-friendliness.
According to official statement,“As the latest embodiment of Mazda’s Kodo Soul of Motion design theme, Mazda aimed to impart the Koeru with the power and vitality of a wild animal while maintaining a sense of refined dignity. The latest Skyactiv technologies ensure the model provides outstanding environmental performance without compromising on Mazda’s renowned driving pleasure.”
