Mazda CX-50 teaser out, global debut on November 15
KUALA LUMPUR: We know Mazda has buckled up to launch five new SUVs - CX-50, CX-60, CX-70, CX-80, and CX-90 over the next two years. And, as per the plans, the Japanese automaker has started teasing one out of them i.e. the all-new CX-50, which will make its global debut in the US on November 15.

If we talk about the car’s design, we barely figure anything out of the teaser. Although, the previously released patent filing images do give us some idea about how it would look. Upfront, the SUV is likely to get a slatted grille teamed up with slim headlamps and an aggressive bumper with faux inlets at the corners. At the rear, we can expect a tail light design looking more like the one available on the CX-30.
Mazda has confirmed that the upcoming CX-50 is a crossover SUV based on the Skyactiv-Vehicle Architecture. It will fall into the Small Product category that already has players like the Mazda 3 and Mazda CX-30.
Earlier, the Japanese auto giant announced that the car is destined for the US market where the demand for the SUV is high. However, the teaser video is published by both Mazda U.S. and Mazda Canada on Twitter, which means it will also be available in Canada.
Mazda will manufacture the SUV at the new Mazda-Toyota joint-venture factory in the States, where Toyota is already producing the Corolla Cross.
