Mazda CX-3 spotted near JPJ Putrajaya office
Kuala Lumpur: Mazda CX-3 is soon to launch officially in Malaysia on December 8, a few days ago the car was also previewed ahead of its introduction. But now the car is finally spotted strolling around the roads of the country. The all new Mazda's entry to the Malaysian market was spotted recently near the Road Transport Department’s (JPJ) Putrajaya branch.

Derrick Lau from the Mazda CX-5 Club Malaysia (MCCM) Facebook group clicked the pictures, in which we can see the crossover SUV wearing the brand’s iconic Soul Red paint finish, along with 18-inch five twin-spoke gunmetal wheels.
It is already confirmed from the sources at Bermaz that the Mazda CX-3 will be offered only in its sole variant in the country and will be priced around RM130k to RM135k.
This sole variant of the Mazda CX-3 will be powered by a 2.0 litre SkyActiv-G petrol engine that will churn out a maximum power of 146 hp and 192 Nm of torque paired to a SkyActiv-G a SkyActiv-Drive six-speed automatic gearbox distributing the power to it's front wheels.
Talking about the appearance, this crossover comes with LED projector headlights and taillights with a mix of LED and bulb. It comes fitted with swanky 18-inch alloys. Inside the cabin, it gets a much similar look to that of Mazda 2. Additional buttons have been appointed on the steering wheel for better control and handling over the vehicle by the driver. From sources, we have also received information regarding its high specification configuration. Including, some of the features are leather seats, HUD, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with reverse camera, Mazda's inbuilt Connect System with navigation assist system, keyless entry and push button.

The automaker has also provided an array of safety features in this car which includes a six airbag mechanism. Further, it has got Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), traction control and anti-lock brakes with EBD, brake assist and hill launch assist.

Sources suggest that Mazda Malaysia has already imported 2,000 CBU units from Japan for sale here. Following that, Bermaz will consider the prospect of assembling the crossover locally (CKD) or to continue importing it.
