Mazda CX-3 Malaysia Price – RM130k, Launch Confirmed in December

Kuala Lumpur: Bermaz Motor, the local importer and distributor of Mazda in Malaysia has confirmed the launch of Mazda CX-3 by early December 2015. Deliveries for this car would be starting in the middle of the same month. Mazda CX-3 has become so popular throughout the world that the Japanese automaker had to ramp up the production. Earlier, it was being produced at Mazda's Hiroshima plant only but afterwards to meet the heavy demand, manufacturing was also started at the Auto Alliance Thailand plant in Rayong.

Earlier, this compact crossover was roughly estimated to be priced at RM120k, but now the final prices are revealed which start from RM 130k and go up to RM 135k. This price hike could be a result of the negative forex situation the Malaysian Ringgit is facing. Mazda CX-3 is all set to challenge Renault Captur and Honda HR-V in the battlefield. With the similar price range as that of Honda HR-V, it would be offering more features along with a tag of new generation car.

Under the hood, it would be powered by a SkyActiv-G 2.0-litre petrol engine which churns out a maximum power of 150 hp along with a peak torque of 240 Nm. Further, it would be paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. AWD is missing so power would go to front wheels only. The exterior of Mazda CX-3 is a perfect amalgamation of sporty and powerful appearance. Its front fascia gets a set of distinctive running headlamps that graciously melts into the chrome grille. Further, Mazda CX-3's 2+3 seating capacity provides a comfortable interior space. It has also got an impressive boot space of 340 litres which would cater to your luggage and storage needs. After a long wait, Malaysians would finally be able to get their hands on the new Mazda CX-3.
