Adult Occupant (85%):
The compact SUV Mazda CX-3 performed greatly grabbing four out of five stars, with a decent 85% score in Adult Occupant and 79% in Child Occupant. Euro NCAP also rates on the parameters pedestrian safety and the car’s safety systems among that the Mazda CX3 scored 84% and 64% respectively.
Child Occupant (79%):
The reason why this compact SUV could not receive a five stars rating was hinted by the EuroNCAP, as the car lack autonomous emergency braking system as standard. Although it is offered as an option.
Pedestrian (84%):
The CX-3 scored maximum points in most of the tests, but Euro NCAP also noted that readings of chest compression in the rear passenger dummy indicated weak protection of that body region, despite the standard-fit seatbelt and pre-tensioners with load limiters in the rear seats. Also, the rear seat occupants get a poor whiplash protection.
