Lotus Emira V6 First Edition full specs and price unveiled
KUALA LUMPUR: Lotus introduced us to its all-new Emira everyday sports car in July this year as a replacement for the Evora, Elise, and Exige. While the details were scant at that time, the automaker now unveiled the full technical specifications along with the price.
The Lotus Emira V6 First Edition price in major European markets starts at £75,995 (approximately RM 435,815) while in Germany, it costs €95,995 (RM 471,847). Price for the entry-level Emira that will be available in 2023 is £59,995 (RM344,054 ). Lotus will announce the prices for the other international markets, including the USA and China in the coming weeks.
Under the hood, the premium sports car is equipped with the Toyota 2GR-FE 3.5-litre V6 mill and an Edelbrock 1740 supercharger. The engine is capable of generating 405 PS and a peak torque of 420 Nm when combined with a six-speed manual gearbox. But when the six-speed auto is in place, the torque figure increases to 430 Nm.
On the performance front, the Lotus Emira can run from zero to 100 kmph in just 4.3 seconds with MT and in 4.2 seconds with AT. Although top speed in both cases is restricted to 290 kmph with a drag coefficient of 0.349 cd.
Lotus equipped the car with 20-inch V-spoke forged alloy rims featuring a premium two-tone finish. These are available in two shades - gloss black and silver. As for braking, it gets two-piece brake discs with calipers along with a tyre pressure monitoring system.
On the exterior, the car features an all-LED lighting setup, a titanium exhaust finisher, gloss black finishing on air blades and side sills, and heated power-fold side mirrors. The vibrant color options on offer are - Seneca Blue, Magma Red, Hethel Yellow, Shadow Grey, Dark Verdant, and Nimbus Grey.
Inside the cabin, the Lotus Emira is loaded with many hi-tech features, including

The features have been carefully selected by our design team to make for a truly special and distinct First Edition,” says Matt Windle, the company’s managing director.
