Limited-edition Porsche 911 Turbo sneakers now available in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Following the launch of the exclusive “911 Turbo 50 Years” model, Porsche has unveiled a limited-edition series of sneakers to commemorate five decades of its iconic sports car.

Launched in collaboration with sportswear manufacturer Puma, the new Porsche sneaker collection comprises a total of twelve different sneaker designs, limited to 911 units per model.  All models use the new Puma “Road Rider” sneaker design, inspired by motorsports.

Two standout models in this collection pay homage to iconic Porsche heritage viz “Turbo No. 1” and “Turbo 930.“ 

The “Turbo No. 1” sneaker is inspired by the legendary Porsche presented to Louise Piëch on her 70th birthday, this metallic silver pair of sports shoes feature distinguished design elements and an iconic red and blue tartan pattern inside that echoes with the cabin of the first 911 Turbo model. It is made from full-grain leather. 

The “Turbo 930” sneaker celebrates Dr. Ferry Porsche's 1976 Turbo vehicle, honouring its significant role in Porsche’s history. It features an Oak Green Metallic exterior with an inner lining designed in the green tartan pattern of Dr. Ferry Porsche's Turbo. This model uses nubuck leather, known for its rich appearance and comfortable feel.

Porsche’s new series of sneakers also boasts a subtle Porsche logo and Dynamic vintage turbo lettering. The heel is inspired by the car's “whale fin” rear spoiler and red tail lights and has a 3D-printed Porsche Crest. On the front of the laces, we can get a removable plaque celebrating the 50th anniversary. 

Other ten sneaker models are inspired by specific Porsche 911 Turbo models from different markets. These are available in their respective countries, including Germany, France, Poland, the Netherlands, the UK, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, the U.S., and Canada. They feature one of thirty colours from Porsche's original 1975-1977 colour charts.

The Porsche 911 Turbo 50th anniversary limited sneaker editions “Turbo No. 1” and “Turbo 930” are now available in Malaysia in an exclusive polar blue colourway at all authorised Porsche dealerships. 

Limited to just 150 pairs, the exclusive sneakers come with an additional set of laces and an exclusive black Porsche Puma sports bag. The latter highlights the exclusive character of the special edition shoes.
