Engine
Powering the 911 Dakar is the potent 3.0-litre six-cylinder, twin-turbo, horizontally opposed engine generating a maximum power output of 480 PS along with a peak torque of 570 Nm.
The drive is sent to the wheels via an 8-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Design
The 911 Dakar design language in several areas reminds one of the 1984 Porsche 911. For instance, the ‘953’ numeric graphic on the door, generous ground clearance (+50mm than the 911 Carrera), increased ride height at front & rear (by 30mm), and taller ride height position.
The car rides on all-terrain tyres, Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus units with 9 mm deep tread and reinforced sidewalls, and two carcass plies which makes them highly cut-resistant.
The limited-edition model also features - carbon-fibre reinforced plastic made fixed rear spoiler, and luggage compartment lid, widened wheel wells & sills, side air intakes with stainless steel grilles.
The 911 Dakar’s roof packs a 12-volt power outlet that powers the optional roof rack’s lighting units.
Cabin
The interior is as impressive as the exterior and it packs several comforting features like -
- Fixed front bucket seats
- Lightweight glass & battery
- Optional Rallye Sport Package (with six-point belts, roll-over bar, and fire extinguisher)
- Rallye Design Package (uses white & Gentian Blue Metallic with decorative foiling)
Further, the customers can pick a racing car number, from 0 to 999, for the door. Impressive?
