Lexus IS 250 to be replaced by Lexus IS 200t : Reports

According to XCAR, the Chinese automotive website, one of the flagship Lexus' IS 250 will now be replaced by a newly launched Lexus IS 200t. This move by the luxury automotive came through as a surprise as the use of 2.0-litre turbo engine in its arsenal was only expected following a facelift to the IS generation, which we presumed wouldn't happen in the coming year or two.

IS 200t, the new variant would sport the 2.0-lite turbocharged powerhouse longitudinally, unlike in NX200t, where the same engine stays put horizontally. The rear wheel drive will feature an 4-to-2 integrated twin scroll turbocharged engine accompanied by a liquid cooled cylinder head, with this, the power output is likely to measure 235 hp at 5600 rpm alongside a maximum starting torque measuring 350 Nm between 1650 to 4000 rpm.
