Kia Seltos boasts an elegant lighting system, launch soon in Malaysia
KUALA LUMPUR: Kia will soon be adding a new SUV to its award-winning lineup in Malaysia, dubbed as ‘Seltos.’ Earlier this month, Naza Kia previewed the model officially and opened the order books; however, the prices are to be revealed.
The all-new Kia Seltos characterizes the distinctive design details that aim to raise the bars on what a compact SUV can be. Speaking about its lighting system, the engineers crafted the “Heart Beat Lighting” of the sporty and sophisticated compact SUV with much thought and passion that has head-turning command on the road. Its intricate lighting design comprises full LED headlights, tail lights, and the restyled ice cube fog lights. The upper part of the front grille also boasts a LED bar lamp, providing extra sparkle for a night drive. The lights are designed to illuminate not only in the night but also in broad daylight.
The crown jewel headlights incorporate Heart Beat daytime running lights and sleek turn indicators. At the rear, the 3D multi-layer indicators give a distinct appeal to the SUV and a clearer vision of the road. The 3D flow of light with a slim and detailed tail light image connecting the voluminous fender to the rear expresses its beauty.
Other than these, the new Seltos flaunts its strong presence through the brand’s signature tiger-nose grille, long hood with robust shoulder lines, and a metallic muffler effect on the rear bumper.
The distinctive design is not just limited to the exterior only, as the interior of the upcoming Seltos is a masterpiece in real sense. It features futuristic and high-quality materials and a range of hi-tech features for convenience, connectivity, and comfort. The spacious and versatile cabin has a sweeping instrument panel with an asymmetric layout that creates a cockpit-style environment for the driver.
Naza Kia Malaysia is offering the Seltos in two variant options - EX and GT Line, both powered by a sole 1.6-litre Gamma MPI naturally-aspirated four-pot engine churning out 123 PS of maximum power at 6,300 rpm and 151 Nm of peak torque at 4,850 rpm, with drive transmit to the front wheels through a six-speed automatic gearbox.
