Kia reveals a sketch of 2020 Mohave’s interior
KUALA LUMPUR: After publishing the first images of the 2020 Kia Mohave, a sketch of its interior has been shown by the Sout Korean manufacturer. The cabin gets a complete makeover following the exterior. So, it looks like the massive body-on-frame three-row SUV will get a considerable facelift soon.
Most of the switchgear and the panels are brand-new, and the bodyshell gets some styling cues with the outgoing model. The car gets the same ultra-modern dashboard as the outgoing model. It features the same template as the Kia models that include the Stinger and Cerato. The features include a large 12.3-inch centre touchscreen, which is a part of the UVO infotainment system, a tall centre console, and horizontal air vents.
The door cards and dashboard gets the stitching and also the vast swathes of wood trim are also featured. The steering wheel is also taken from the facelifted Sorento that has four spokes. Other quality features include a rotary selector for the various on- and off-road drive modes, a head-up display, and a hands-free powered tailgate. At the front, there is a full-width “tiger nose” grille having the vertical bars. There are also integrated four-projector LED headlights. Coming to the rear, the in-vogue full-width taillight design is present.
The powertrain of the 2020 Kia Mohave is also confirmed and it will get a 3.0-litre S2 turbodiesel V6 engine. It is capable of churning out a maximum power of 260 PS at 3,800 rpm along with the peak torque of 559 Nm coming at a range between 1,500 and 3,000 rpm. The power is sent to the wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. The car is equipped with an all-wheel-drive system and comes with a locking differential, that helps during hardcore off-roading.
