Kia introduces its first three-row electric SUV, the EV9

KUALA LUMPUR: First introduced as a concept in late 2021, Kia’s first three-row electric flagship SUV, the EV9, has finally come to fruition. The automaker has unveiled the full images of the EV’s exterior and interior design with the digital global premiere scheduled for late March. During the event, Kia will reveal the EV’s technical details alongside rolling out the global campaign with the slogan, ‘Here to reshape the way we move.’  

Let’s check out the exterior and interior highlights of the Kia EV9 -

• The EV boasts a unique combination of bold styling and sophisticated elegance inside and out, guided by ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy
• It features a ‘Digital Tiger Face’ with a ‘Digital Pattern Lighting Grille,’ striking vertical headlamps, and innovative Star Map LED daytime running lights

• The striking side profile of the EV is kitted with triangular fender structures, prominent geometric wheel arches, and blocky wheels
• Inside the cabin lies two 12.3-inch touchscreens; one for the instrument panel and the other for infotainment needs 

• The EV incorporates very few physical buttons as most of the functions can be controlled via a five-inch segment display, and an array of hidden touch buttons located below the audio-visual, navigation, and telematics screen
• The centre console offers ample storage options, including a spacious compartment located at its base

• Offered in both six and seven-seat formats, the EV promises generous space for all occupants with lounge-style comfort in all three rows of seats 
• The front- and second-row seats come with a reclining option. Not only that but the second-row seats can also be turned 180-degree to face the third row

He added, "The Kia EV9 offers customers an exceptionally high-quality proposition and a fresh EV perspective in the family SUV sector. This new vehicle typology provides instinctive experiences and excellent comfort for not just the driver, but all occupants, through innovative use of space, technology, and design.”
