The brand is continuously growing its EV offering across different markets. A recent illustration of this expansion is the launch of Kia’s flagship electric SUV, the EV9, in Singapore.

The Singapore-spec Kia EV9 is equipped with a dual motor setup producing a combined system output of 385 PS and 700 Nm. The motors are fed by a 99.8-kWh lithium-ion polymer battery pack that lets the SUV cruise up to 512 km on a single charge. With the help of an 11 kW AC socket, it takes eight hours to get a 10-80% state of charge. However, the 350 kW DC unit does the same job in 24 minutes.
In terms of performance, the Kia EV9 accelerates from a standstill to 100 kmph in 6 seconds and hits a top speed of 200 kmph.
The Kia EV9 is a three-row SUV that measures 5,015 mm in length, 1,980 mm in width, 1,780 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 3,100 mm. It boasts a ‘Digital Tiger Face’ with a ‘Digital Pattern Lighting Grille,’ vertical headlights, and Star Map LED daytime running lights. Among the other key highlights are 19-inch aero wheels, retractable door handles, a powered tailgate, and digital side mirrors.
Parts of the interior equipment kit are a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a head-up display, a 12.3-inch touchscreen system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, 14-speaker Meridian sound system, vegan leather seats, heated and ventilated front seats, Premium Relaxation front seats, wireless smartphone charging pad, electronic parking brake, vehicle to load functionality, optional 2nd Row Swivel Seats and Relaxation Seats and more.
As for safety, the EV is kitted with 8 airbags, Smart Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Driver Steering Assist, Auto Evasive Steering Assist, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Follow Assist, Surround View Monitor, Intelligent Speed Limit Assist, Manual Speed Limit Assist, Safe Exit Warning, Driver Attention Warning, Finger Print Module, and Rear Occupant Alert.
