JPJ offers RM150 flat rate for summonses, valid for six months
KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s Ministry of Transport has introduced a flat-rate offer of RM150 for three specific types of JPJ traffic summonses.

Eligible Summons Categories
The following summons types are covered under this offer:

Normally carrying fines of up to RM300, these summonses can now be settled for RM150.
Pay between January 3 to June 30, 2025
The reduced rate is only valid for six months, but it should provide Malaysian motorists plenty of time to resolve their fines, it's after all six months.
During this window of opportunity, unsettled summonses can be paid to avoid issues with renewing driving licenses or road tax.

The RM150 flat rate is available exclusively through:
- JPJ service counters
- MyJPJ mobile app
- JPJ public portal
- JPJ kiosks
Payments via third-party services like MyEG or Pos Malaysia do not qualify for the discount.
No Demerit Points During This Period
Motorists settling AWAS-related fines within the offer period will not incur demerit points on their driving records.
Clearing the Backlog
With around two million unresolved AWAS summonses dating back to 2018, the initiative aims to reduce the backlog and lift restrictions on affected vehicle owners.
