Jaguar F-Pace gets significant updates for 2024

KUALA LUMPUR: Jaguar has rolled out the latest version of its five-seater luxury SUV, the F-Pace. In the upgraded avatar, the model offers an enhanced electric range, enriched specifications, seamless connectivity, and of course better looks. 

The SUV is offered in five variants in the international market viz.R-Dynamic S, R-Dynamic SE, R-Dynamic HSE, 400 SPORT, and SVR. Among the available powertrain options are 2.0-litre petrol, 2.0-litre diesel, a 3.0-litre diesel, and a PHEV powertrain.

For the 2024 model year, the plug-in hybrid F-Pace benefits from a bigger 19.2-kWh lithium-ion battery pack, offering an all-electric range of 65 kilometers (on the WLTP cycle) which is 20 percent more than the predecessor. When it comes to charging the bigger battery, the 35-kW DC charger can juice it up to 80% in 30 minutes only, however, a 7-kW AC port will take around 2 hours and 30 minutes for a 100% SoC.

In terms of output, the PHEV model delivers a maximum power of 398 hp and a peak torque of 640 Nm, allowing the electrified F-Pace to sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in 5.3 seconds.

“By Increasing the range of the P400e plug-in electric hybrid by more than 20 percent, it becomes an even more attractive combination of performance, efficiency, and zero-tailpipe emissions driving capability, and that’s something we’re very proud of,'' said Philip Koehn, Managing Director, Jaguar.

Moving to the exterior, here the automaker decked up the SUV with a new Black Pack comprising a gloss black finish on the grille, grille surround, door mirror caps and window surrounds. It also features sleek LED headlights with dual daytime running lights, black pillars, 19-22-inch wheels, and wrap-around LED tail lights.

As for better connectivity, Jaguar brings on board the Pivi Pro infotainment system integrated with Alexa voice control, what3words navigation, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Wireless Android Auto as standard. Also part of the luxurious cabin is a new TFT Digital Driver Display with a two-dial configuration, Ebony Suede Cloth headliner, high-quality materials, wireless device charging, automatic climate control, and a multifunctional steering wheel.

Pricing and availability information of the all-new 2024 Jaguar F-Pace is yet to be revealed.
