Isuzu teases third-generation D-Max before the official debut on October 11

KUALA LUMPUR: The Japanese automobile manufacturer, Isuzu has been selling the second-generation Isuzu D-Max for quite a while now and has also offered various updates since it made its official debut in the year 2011. 

Recently, the carmaker has teased the appearance of the third generation of its popular pick-up truck, D-Max. It will make its official debut in Thailand on October 11. As a teaser, a short video has been released, which offers enthusiasts with a sneak-peak of several design cues that will be present on the all-new D-Max, and it can be found in the video that the vehicle follows the theme of “Infinite Potential.”

Talking about the front part of the vehicle, it features a much larger grille if compared to the current version. However, it still gets two “fang-like” trim pieces within it. If you observe the video, you will be able to notice that it misses out the division of the upper and lower intakes, which makes the grille a single-piece item, unlike the outgoing model. 

It now comes with a pair of smaller headlights, which flaunts U-shaped LED daytime running lights that are placed within the clusters. You can find sculpted sections under the DRLs that equips the fog lamps and the indicators as well. Moving to the rear-end, there are new tail lamp clusters that now flaunts a dual-square lighting signature. 

There are no specific details about the powertrain released yet; however, the Ddi badging on the engine cover clearly states that it will be powered by an RZ4E-TC 1.9 litre turbo diesel four-cylinder mill. The motor present in the outgoing D-Max is capable of churning out a maximum power of 150 PS and a peak torque of 350 Nm. For further information, we have to wait until the official debut takes place on October 11.
