The S07 received a five-star safety rating from the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP). The agency evaluates how well cars protect occupants and road users in crash scenarios. It conducts crash tests and safety assessments and assesses the vehicle’s safety across the following categories -

    Category

    Total score

    Adult Occupant Protection

    95%

    Child Occupant Protection

    86%

    Safety Assist

    78%

Notably, the Deepal EV grabbed an impressive score of 95% in the Adult Occupant Protection category, which matches the popular and reliable Toyota Camry, making it the highest-rated model in the current 2023-2025 criteria.

The EV showed flawless injury risk results in oblique pole and side-impact crash tests for the driver and also performed well in the frontal offset test for the front occupant. The vehicle is designed in a way that it offers minimal injury risk to the passengers of other vehicles in a crash as it received a minor 0.86-point deduction in vehicle compatibility tests.

If we talk about child safety, the EV earned maximum points in front offset and side impact tests. Equipped with advanced driver-assistance systems, it showed mixed results in pedestrian and vehicle-crossing scenarios.

The S07 features retractable door handles that can extend automatically after a crash, however, the door remains operable even if the vehicle has no power. This ensures easy access to trapped or injured vehicle occupants by first responders.

So, what safety features do customers get with the Deepal S07?

    • Dual frontal, side chest-protecting, and side head-protecting airbags
    • A centre airbag
    • Autonomous emergency braking (Car-to-Car, Vulnerable Road User, Junction & Crossing, Backover and Head-On)
