Honda unveils three new EVs in China - P7, S7, and GT concept

KUALA LUMPUR: Honda has set an ambitious target of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, with China playing a key role in this mission. Recognising that, the Japanese automaker has recently unveiled three new EVs, designed specifically for the Chinese market. The list includes - Ye P7, Ye S7, and Ye GT concept

    A brief about Honda's new EVs - 

    Honda Ye P7 and Ye S7

    The all-new Ye P7 and Ye S7 are based on the brand’s newly developed dedicated EV platform and will be available in two versions - a rear-mounted single motor and a four-wheel drive dual motor. The former is designed to offer sporty and crisp handling while the latter is meant for both high power and highly responsive handling. 

    Design-wise, the EVs reflect their unique style, The Ye P7 features a seamless, sophisticated, and future design, while the Ye S7 has a more emotional appeal. These designs enhance the overall character of each Ye Series model, says Honda.

    The interior of the EVs boasts a spacious cabin, ensuring that both front and rear seat occupants can enjoy a comfortable ride. It offers an intelligent driving experience with features like LED lights on the instrument panel and door panels that adjust emission patterns based on AI-powered assistance. 

    After making their public debuts at the Auto China 2024, the Honda Ye P7 and Ye S7 will go on sale at the end of 2024.

    Honda Ye GT Concept

    The Ye GT Concept is a prototype model representing Honda's vision for EVs in China. It features a "low & wide" silhouette inspired by GT (Grand Tourer) models and aims to offer an immersive racing-like experience to the driver. For the front-seat passenger, the EV has a far-focus display that provides a theatre-like experience to enhance the overall enjoyment of the ride.

    The road-ready version of the Honda Ye GT Concept is set to launch by the end of 2025.

    With the new Ye Series, Honda aims to lead the way in shaping the future of electric mobility in China and beyond.
